Description

The Mbunga of Tanzania,  are part of the Bantu, Central-Tanzania people cluster  found within the Sub-Saharan African bloc. This  group is only found in Tanzania and their primary language is Mbunga. Mbunga sculptures are quite rare and  draw similarities with Makonde art,we could not ascertain how the Mbunga used the sculptures for but the following figure is made of hard wood,it has a brownish patina with abrasions and significant wear,it looks visibly old.
